BRUN board members are volunteers – renters and owners, longtime residents and newer arrivals – who share a stake in what this neighborhood looks and feels like. No prior civic or political experience is required.
The board meets virtually on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Between meetings, board members may review zoning and development applications, draft letters to city agencies and elected officials, vote on Good Neighbor Agreements with local businesses, and help organize community events and outreach.

Dan Swislow, Member
Dan joined the BRUN board in January 2026. He is a Berkeley homeowner and dad with nearly 20 years of experience working in public policy. Dan is especially focused on traffic safety and creating more ways for neighbors to connect, while strengthening what already makes our neighborhood a great place for families and for kids to grow up.
Join the Board
We need more board members. BRUN is Denver’s largest RNO, representing one of Denver’s most active and fastest-changing neighborhoods. We have major development proposals, transportation projects, and zoning decisions happening constantly.
Our current board is small and we’re actively working to better reflect the perspectives of the community we serve. If you’re a renter or owner, new to the neighborhood or long established, we want more voices at the table, especially those that aren’t already there.
To join, attend at least two board meetings as a community member, then be voted in by the existing board at any monthly meeting. It’s a simple process, the main requirement is showing up.
If you care about your neighborhood and can commit to one meeting a month, we want to hear from you. Please email us here.
